Perhaps South Dakota needs a new state logo?

Oh my. Actually that's darkly amusing.
We've been hearing about this madness all the way in the UK on the news. (Boggled!)

Do us a favor?

If we get too crazy, would you guys just lob a nuke at DC?

It's worrying, what starts in the US often ends up in the UK too.
For instance, Tony Blair was spouting about his being judged by God the other day. Time was in the UK for a leader to admit to being religious or mention such things, (or let slip religious rhetoric of any kind,) would have been unheard of, secular only please, we're British..
Thank God* there was much hoo-ha and spluttering of shock and outrage in the UK media after his outburst.

* Irony intended.

You got IM at all?

Just curious, since you seem to be on now...

Arg! Sorry, what with time difference I'd gone to bed when you made that last comment, so I didn't spot it til much later.
I'm afraid I don't do IM or anything similar, or have such software installed on my pc; basically because I'm terrified of getting addicted to it and ending up getting a bollocking at work for using it too much, or not cracking on with my art projects when I'm at home.
I spend far too much time on LJ as it is, I can't risk getting sucked into IM.
:-)

No, please no nukes! They would do nasty bad things to my beloved Smithsonian--not to mention me!

Okay, then, how about an invasion?

Hell, they burned the White House once before...

Invasion works for me! Just so long as they're civilized invaders who leave the Smithsonian intact.

They're British. They'd stop the invasion at half past four for teatime.

I dunno. Some British nobles may still be sore about the whole Smithsonian thing.

Why would they be sore about "the whole Smithsonian thing"? Enlighten, please.

James Smithson was a British scientist who was largely unaccepted by British society. When he died he didn't leave any of his money to the Academy of Sciences. He decided to leave the money to the U.S. to snub the British snobs.
