The Litany Against Peer.
Nov. 3rd, 2007 12:29 amI must have Dune on the brain or something...this just popped into my head:
I must not peer.
Peer is the link-killer.
Peer is the little lag that brings total disconnection.
I will ping my peer.
I will route it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has ACKed I will tune the firewall to see its path.
Where the SYN has gone there will be nothing.
Only packets will remain.
...yeah, I don't know either.

Date: 2007-11-12 07:51 am (UTC)Me, I'm pretty chill about the whole punting thing, most of the time. I even made up rules for a game called "Flewball", where people would punt me around, in a competition to see who could get me the farthest from my starting point, which was my house in the rough center of the world map. This will often result in me ending up in strange places that I've never gone to before, and it's good fun for all.
