What brought you to Minnesota?

I'm in Minnesota to get away from an abusive relationship and to start my life over again. I really like the Twin Cities area, there seems to be a lot of opportunities here, and I have a good friend who is kind enough to let me stay at his house until I can find a job.

I've lived in downstate Illinois all of my life, so there are a lot of things up here that I'm still getting used to, such as legal U-turns and disgusting tap water!

Ooch, I sympathise. Well, hope MN treats you better.

I do not live in your part of the state, so I can't speak for there, but in Moorhead the tap water is pretty good.

There's other things we have up here, too, like lutefisk and people who say "doncha know" and mean it.
