Updatification
Aug. 11th, 2006 02:46 pmWell, folks have been poking me to update, so I guess I should. It's been a busy month.
In this past month, my sister came to visit, and we spent a week hanging out and doing things. Such things include wandering around downtown Fargo while she took photographs of old and crumbling buildings, as well as the flat prairie landscape and the river. This is part of her love of photography, and in particular her "urban decay" series of photos, on the touch of entropy on human environments. She has an aesthetic love of decaying things, particularly architecture, so this was a good opportunity for her.
Also, I have a housemate for a bit. My old friend Craig, who Ed and I knew from Syracuse, has moved to the area, and is working to save money to get an apartment. In the meantime, he's staying with me. It's not a bad thing, he's fun to hang out with, and he likes to clean things to keep himself busy. How could I refuse that? The cats love him, too. Of course, Yitzak and Miette love everybody, but Bella has actually taken to him as well.
Hm, what else...there hasn't been much else of import happening. I've been working, doing stuff, and trying to stay cool. Earlier this month and in July it was beastly hot, at times getting up past 100. I am not fond of heat. Cold, I say, is easier to deal with; you can always put on more clothes or curl up in a blanket with a cat or two. Heat, though...well, you can only take off so much, and air conditioning doesn't always help (particularly if your AC unit doesn't work very well). So I'm glad that the heat wave has broken for us.
Well, that's the State of the Flewnion, I guess.
