Today I saw, on television, for the first time, the sport of curling.

I was not aware, up until this point, that this was, in fact, a sport.

But, now that I have actually seen it...now that I have witnessed world-class curlers practicing their subtle, careful skill...now that I have truly beheld the height of curling acumen...

I REALLY don't see how it's a sport.

A guy slides a rock...and two other guys scrub the ice with brooms?

If that's a sport worthy of being in the Winter Olympics, then next they'll try to get ping-pong into the Summer games.

...wait, really? It is? Ah, crap.

Why is it that you say professional programmers are insane?

Not that I'm disagreeing mind you, but I'm wondering what exactly this is a comment about. That programmers tend to be eccentric, or if it's a terrible career choice or something.

Programmers, at least the good ones, tend to be quite eccentric. I think it's required.

I daresay he is, yes.

Of course, so are you, so it works out. :-)

Programmers are sane but every day life isn't, as it is akin to a badly coded VB program running on WinME.
