I was talking to my friend Lynn this evening about...well, stuff. We always have wide-ranging conversations about diverse subjects. At one point, the conversation turned to really old places. I was talking about how you can go to some places, and just feel the spirit of the land, the ancient history of it, from the bones of the Earth.

Lynn said, "I think you may be part dwarf."

I said, "Maybe. I'm a bit tall for that."

Lynn: "Well, okay, maybe Balrog?"

Me: "Err, no. I'm not gay."

Lynn: "Since when is the Balrog gay?!"

Me: "Are you kidding? He was flaming!"
