Wow...just...wow.

A Russian astrologer is suing NASA over their plans to shoot a comet with a large shell, thus creating a crater that lays bare the core of the comet for study. She wants $310 million in "moral damages" for "disrupting natural life in the Universe".

There can be no words, in any language, sufficient to describe how stupid this is. Really. Languages are based upon the experiences of their creators, and any group of people stupid enough to invent such words would be too stupid to have survived long enough to evolve language in the first place.

So, really, when I say this leaves me at a loss for words, this is a good thing.

Riight. Can I sue her for the excessive stupidity leak she has that is stupifying my own mind making it numb with stupor?

Please do. I feel idiocy double-take whiplash coming on.

I'm not usually this fundamentally hostile, but...

People like that are a frighteningly effective argument for eugenics.

The counterargument would be that it's impossible to separate the contributions of genetics and environment to a person's intelligence and belief systems. This woman is a product of her time as much as anything else.

That said, if you wanted to beat her about the head with a cluebat, I'm all in favor.
