Last April, the Department of Justice successfully foiled a terrorist plot in Texas...but didn't make any announcements about it.

Why?

Because the plotters were white supremacist Christians, not radical Muslims.

In the same article, Paul Krugman (one of the best columnists the New York Times has) also details how Ashcroft has ordered
the records from background checks of gun purchasers destroyed after one business day, yet felt justified in subpoenaing the
hospital records of women who had late-term abortions.

This guy, and his fellows in the Bush Malversation*, must be impeached YESTERDAY. November is too late.

I don't think anybody is in favor of late-term abortions, least of all the women who get them or doctors who perform them. According to my friends and family in the medical profession, late-term abortions are only done if the alternative is serious health risk to the mother. I doubt the mother is particularly happy about it, either.

As for what the hell is wrong with Ashcroft, well...consider how Michael Moore put it in "Fahrenheit 9/11": The citizens of Missouri preferred the dead guy.

I don't agree with LTA for any reason other than serious health risks, but sometimes they are done without any. Kinda sucks.

One very good reason why I am damned happy to be a Canadian...at least they pretend we have human rights, even if you aren't christian! (for the most part).
