No-nonsense expression on that one. I wouldn't dare laugh. Would wait 'til she'd finished her upside-down business and then offer solemn petting. Whilst trying not to squeak inanely about kittytummy.

(do you have the perfect carpet for cat messes or what? oatmeal-coloured, looks like low nap...)

Alas, Bella is very timid around strangers, and would likely hide from you.

Which is a shame, because she loves bellyrubs.

Oh, no, Bella LOVES them. She streeeeetches out and rolls around so that I can scritch her belly better, and purrs very noisily.

Miette, now, she will shred anyone who touches her stomach.

Awwwwww. In my too-limited service, I've never known a shy kitty who's also a tummyrub fan. And Miette, noted, dignified terror awaits in Moorhead. :) (You're from NY, right? How'd you end up in Moorhead, if you don't mind my asking? I was at NDSU for one year before my little savings ran out and the looming depression decided to move in full-time. Winters on the plains did not help with that.)
